Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 10/10/2026
Madison’s Commercial Solutions Limited wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever technology or ability they bring to it. This statement explains what we have done, where we know the site still falls short, and how to tell us if something is not working for you.
1. Our standard
We design and test this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We believe it meets that standard, except for the known limitations listed in section 3. As a private company we are not covered by the public sector accessibility regulations, but we treat WCAG 2.2 AA as our standard because it is the right way to build a website.
2. What we have done
- The site can be navigated by keyboard, with visible focus indicators and a skip to content link on every page. The menus can be opened, moved through with the arrow keys and closed with the Escape key.
- Pages use a logical heading structure, with one main heading per page.
- Text colours meet WCAG contrast requirements against their backgrounds, including navigation text over photographs.
- You can zoom and pinch to zoom freely; the site does not block resizing, and text can be enlarged to 200 percent without loss of content.
- Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages, and do not rely on colour alone.
- Animations and moving content respect your device’s reduced motion setting. The home page slideshow, the scrolling strips and the rotating reviews can also be paused.
- No film plays on its own. Every film loads only when you press play, and each play button says which film it is.
- Craig’s advice films, the Cold Norton and Billericay client testimonials and the build films on our Brentwood case study have captions shown in the picture. Craig’s advice films also offer captions you can switch on and off.
- The two films with speech on our Witham extension case study, the client testimonial and Craig’s walkthrough, have no captions in the picture. Instead they carry captions that are switched on when the film starts, and you can switch them off in the player.
- Every film with speech has a written transcript on this site, either directly beneath the film or on the film’s own page.
- The site works in portrait and landscape and adapts to small screens.
- Links are written to make sense in isolation, not as “click here”.
3. Known limitations
- Players and maps from other companies. The map on our contact page comes from Google Maps, and a few of our films play in YouTube’s or Vimeo’s own player. Once you choose to load them, their controls and behaviour are provided by those companies and may not fully meet our standard. They only load if you click them, and the information they carry is also available on the page: our address in text, and a written transcript for each film with speech.
- Captions in the picture. Where a film has captions in the picture (Craig’s advice films, the Cold Norton and Billericay client testimonials and the Brentwood build films), they are part of the picture, so they cannot be switched off, resized or restyled. On Craig’s advice films, which also offer switchable captions, you may see the captions twice if you switch them on.
- Client and build films. The Cold Norton and Billericay client testimonials and the build films on our Brentwood case study have captions in the picture and a written transcript beneath them, but no separate captions track you can switch on.
- The Chigwell walkthrough. The walkthrough film on our Chigwell new build case study was made by another company and plays in Vimeo’s player. We do not offer a captions track for it, so the full written transcript directly beneath the film is the way to follow everything that is said.
- Films without speech. A few films have no speech, only music: the drone flyover on our Brentwood case study, the school fit-out montage and the film of the finished rooms on our Witham extension case study. They have no captions or transcript because there are no spoken words; the Witham film has a one-line description beneath it. We have not produced audio description for any of our films; the page around each film describes the project it shows.
- Photographs. Some project photographs are decorative in nature; where a photograph carries information, its alternative text describes it.
If any of these gets in your way, contact us and we will give you the information another way.

5. About this statement
This statement was first prepared on 19/08/2026 and updated on 27/09/2026, after an accessibility audit of every page of the site in September 2026 and re-checks of the fixes that audit asked for. It was last updated on 10/10/2026, when the Witham extension case study and its films were added and we corrected what it says about the Chigwell walkthrough. We review it when the site changes materially.
