Monitor Audio is one of the world’s leading speaker manufacturers. When a specialist cinema company set out to create a high end internal show unit at their factory, they needed an internal finishing contractor who could deliver more than the finish: a building fit for its purpose, where the rooms themselves are part of the equipment. They contracted us to work alongside them.

The brief
The brief and the challenge
A show unit for a speaker manufacturer has a double job. It has to look the part: these rooms present some of the finest audio equipment made anywhere. And it has to perform: every wall, ceiling and floor affects what a visitor hears. The brief was a high end internal fit out where the finish and the acoustics were the same problem, solved together.
What we did
What Madisons did
We installed acoustically engineered walls, ceilings and floors throughout the unit, then delivered the finishes over them: LVT flooring, fluted wall details, plastering and the specialist details that tie a space like this together.
The project ran as a trio. The cinema company fitted out the cinema room and the acoustically treated materials, finishes and fixtures. Monitor Audio supplied the speakers and the audio visual equipment for the rooms. We delivered the building and the finish around them. As a trio, it worked fantastically.

A factory show unit where world leading audio equipment is heard in rooms built to do it justice, finished to the standard the brand’s own products set.
