The service
We are commercial interior decorators for offices, schools, studios and commercial premises. One team prepares, paints and finishes the space, working to a written scope and a programme built around your operation, so the building keeps working while it is decorated.
Commercial decorators are easy to find. Decorators who finish a working building to the standard of a show home, on programme, with the site discipline your facilities or health and safety team expects, are rarer. That is the job we do. Enquiries are answered within 24 hours, and rates are available on enquiry.

Programme
Your building stays open
Most commercial decorating happens around people. We programme phased areas, out of hours and weekend working where it saves you disruption, and protect the floors, furniture and routes that stay in use. Deliveries, access and drying times are managed as part of the plan, not apologised for afterwards. For schools, the heavy work is planned into the holidays and the building is ready before the first day of term, as on our school and education fit out work.
The finish
Why the finish holds
A commercial finish is judged twice: on the day it is handed over, and a year later when the building has been used. Our standard comes from show home work, where every wall is looked at closely, and it is delivered by decorators, including sprayers, who work to it every day. Preparation is where most of that standard is won, so it is never the part we shorten.
Every job is handed over with our 3 month full workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranties on all products and our 12 month touch up service, which matters in a commercial building, where the first year of occupation always finds the scuffs.

Can you decorate while our office or building stays open?
Yes, and most of our commercial decorating is exactly that. Phased areas, out of hours and weekend working, and protected routes are planned into the programme from the start, so the business keeps running while the decorating moves around it.
How much does commercial decorating cost?
It depends on area, surface condition, the finish specified and when the work has to happen, so every job is priced against a written scope with one transparent quotation you can compare like for like. Rates are available on enquiry: email [email protected] with the site, the areas and your programme.
Can you decorate a school during the holidays?
That is how we prefer to do it. Summer works are scoped in the spring and programmed backwards from the first day of term, and decoration is often gathered with flooring, joinery and repairs into one holiday package, so the smaller jobs are done to the same standard as the big ones.
Do you offer spray finishing?
Yes. Our decorators include sprayers, and spray finishing sits alongside brush and roller work in the same team, so the choice of method is made for the surface and the finish, not for whoever happens to be available.
What areas do you cover for commercial decorating?
Essex, London and the Home Counties. We are based in Essex, at Latchingdon near Chelmsford, and our commercial teams already operate across that whole area, so a decorating project anywhere within it is part of our normal running.
What happens after handover?
The same aftercare as every Madisons project: a 3 month full workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranties on all products, and a 12 month touch up service. Snagging is completed before handover, not negotiated after it.
